Director's Message
Dear friends of Forest Cliff Camp:
I am connecting with you because I know you care about the ministry of FCC.
Have you ever had the opportunity…?
- To see the smile on a camper’s face as he conquers the high ropes course
- To overhear a young camper proclaim with great excitement to her Grandmother that this week she learned that God really loves her at FCC
- To watch children, from a variety of religious backgrounds, enjoying chapel and actively listening to the story of God’s love for them
- To see the transformation in a young teen from insecurity to confidence under the guidance of a caring cabin counsellor
As Camp Director at FCC, I have had the honour to witness each of these meaningful moments many times. Each summer I sense the impact of Forest Cliff Camp on each of the lives of over 1550 campers.
Allow me to share a few facts you may not know about FCC:
- FCC is among the best camps in Ontario, and is a great value for campers.
- Each year we invite, at no charge, about 122 children from homes that can’t afford to send their children to camp.
In addition we offered bursaries to 47 other campers last year whose families were impacted by the recession.
- In an effort to not exclude anyone, camper’s fees only barely cover the program costs for the camp weeks, and yet, FCC offers a program that rivals camps in a much higher price range.
- We need to raise funds for the capital costs of new buildings and improvements through donations from supporters like you.
With your help we will dream and plan for new program facilities, needed improvements to our existing facility, and continue to offer a quality camp program to reach more kids. Your financial gift will also allow us to pay off the debt on the Dining Hall. It’s through your partnership we can continue to move forward.
